Hasani Leffall
SMASH Junior Sports
Director

Hasani has been advocate of exploring Child Psychology and Behavior Management. He currently works at Crescent Heights Blvd. Elementary and Grand View Blvd. Elementary as a Behaviorist.

Hasani began his coaching career as a youth Coordinator with the YMCA Bayview Hunter’s Point Project (Gloria R. Davis Middle School)in 2005.

"My goal as director of Smash Junior Sports is to give athletes and their families a platform to learn and grow from the sports they love. Sport brought me self-worth and independence to be strong and make my own mark, we hope our entity will be a guide in that direction for all.
                                 "

With youth enrichment being a passion of his, Hasani has always tried to bring enrichment activities that he was lucky enough to have growing up in his life. Culinary Arts, Step /Drill Team, Musical Instruments, and of course sports. By 2007, Hasani now had become an instructor with U.N.I.T.Y after school program until moving back to Los Angeles in 2009.

Though Hasani has gained certification in the fields of Insurance and Security, his passion for Youth Development and Enrichment never wavered. In 2010 he joined the Randal D. Simmons Outreach Foundation and has been a devoted board member to this day. He heads the Youth and Teen Advocacy Committee. The Foundation has served thousands of young adults with mentoring workshops, career training, sex education, and money management.

In 2011 Hasani became a Youth Program Coordinator and Facility Manager at the Santa Monica Family YMCA. While working with ages 2-17, he was very integral in starting up their youth basketball league as well as the Biddy Soccer Program a junior soccer program for ages 3-5.

As faith would have it in 2012 upon a call from his former high school football coach Hasani was chosen to join the Varsity Football coaching at the age of only 28. Hasani would become the General Manager of Program Operations and Assistant Offensive Line and Defensive Line Coach until 2014. Hasani just recently rejoined the football staff in 2017 as an assistant for the Offensive and Defensive Line.

A Note from Owner, Vincent Grigsby
"When the opportunity came up to create SMASH Junior Sports I thought it would be a great platform for LA's kids to develop through sport. It's not just football, not just basketball, but multiple sports for boys and girls to learn together, grow together, and win together. Under the direction of Hasani Leffall, I'm confident that SJS will have a positive impact on the lives of LA's sports-minded kids and their parents!"
